Charuni Pathmeswaran
I work as a Senior Knowledge Exchange Officer for the NSW Bushfire and Natural Hazards Research Centre (BNHRC) at NSW DCCEEW. In my role, I liaise with university researchers and government end users, to facilitate co-designed research that address the 2020 Bushfire Inquiry and 2022 Flood Inquiry. Before this role, I completed my PhD in climate science at UNSW, focusing on heatwaves. I have always enjoyed sharing scientific knowledge with a broader audience, through science communication and outreach events. My passion lies in knowledge exchange and research translation, aiming to bridge the gap between scientific discoveries and practical applications.
