Dr. Mahbuba Afrin is a Lecture at the School of EECMS in Curtin University, Australia. She worked as a Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. She was awarded PhD from Swinbunre University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia. Prior to that she completed Masters (MS) and Bachelor (BS) in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has teaching/research experience in several universitites including Monash University, Swinbune University of Technology, Victoria University, Deakin University, United International University. Her research focuses in the area of Internet of Things-enabled Cyber-Physical Systems, Networked Robotics and the development of efficient learning models for intelligent systems. More specifically, she worked on resource allocation, network optimisation and autonomous network management. She has published in top Scopus indexed journals and conferences, including IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials (Impact Factor: 35.6), IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering (Impact Factor: 6.6 ), Future Generation Computer Systems (Impact Factor: 7.5), Computer Networks (Impact Factor: 5.6), International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing (Core-A). She is the Secrertary of IEEE Communications Society, WA Chapter and general member of ACEN WA Chapter.
